Scholarships

North Georgia Credit Union (NGCU) offers a $1,000 scholarship to an NGCU member or the child of an NGCU member. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior based on financial need, academic performance, SAT/ACT scores, involvement in school and community activities, and written recommendations.

Applications are reviewed after the March deadline each year. One scholarship recipient is selected from each of the following counties: Stephens, Franklin, Hart, and Rabun. Dependents of active-duty military personnel who do not live in the local area are also eligible to apply.
Application Deadline
Regardless of the delivery method, completed application packets must be received by 5:00 PM on March 2, 2026. Applications will not be accepted before January 26, 2026, or after the deadline.

NGCU also offers a $3,000 Patterson Pump Federal Credit Union (FCU) Scholarship. On January 1, 2022, Patterson Pump FCU merged with NGCU. As part of the merger agreement, this scholarship was established to honor the legacy of service provided by Patterson Pump FCU throughout its years of operation.
